He also ruled out any possibility of coaching Sania in the near future. "I have a different set of rules and different thinking towards the game. I already have two assignments in my hand."

Asked about his wife Schnyder's failure to win a Grand Slam title considering that she is one of the top players in the circuit since mid-1990s, Hoffmann candidly said: "You need to have head to win Grand Slam. You can't win a Grand Slam only with your game.

In the second round, the duo defeated (6-3, 2-6, 10-7) second seeded US-Swedish pair- Lisa Raymond and Simon Aspelin. However, they entered into semis easily due to walkover of their opponents (7th seeded Kveta Peschke and Martin Damm) in quarter finals. Sania is crashed out from women's singles and doubles, while Bhupati along with his Bahamian partner Mark Knowles has reached quarters in men's doubles. Bhupati-Knowles will now face to Bryan brothers (Bob and Mike) of USA in quarter finals.
