It should not be forgotten that she played the Federation Cup for India on Saturday against the doctor's advice and won however damaging her back, this a reflection on what she feels.", said Imran Mirza.

Recently, Sania had suggested that she have opted out of the Bangalore Open to avoid any further controversies and that she would never play tennis in India. Commenting on her move to avoid Bangalore Open, Sania had said: "I am not playing Bangalore Open as I have been advised by my managers to avoid the tournament. I think, every time that I have played in India, I have encountered some kind of problem."
